Summary Simon Heinrich Adolf married Katherine Louise Wehrmann in 1850 in Wisconsin. Simon is listed under Mr. And Mrs. Frederich Reineking, entry #9 and Katherine is listed under entry #17 in the original Lipper Settlers. Katherine came to Wisconsin without parents. Details Simon Heinrich Adolf was born May 18 1825, Langenholzhausen, Lippe-Detmold. He married Katherine Louise Wehrmann in October 1850 at the Mission Haus, or Mission House, in the Town of Herman. He died April 7, 1893 and was buried at Immanuel Church Cemetery in the Town of Herman. Simon became a prosperous farmer in the Town of Herman until his death. He started a farm across the road from his brother, Frederick Herman, and the Mission Haus. His farm was a working dairy farm until 1970. The farm buildings are still standing today. The cheese factory was a small building that was located just outside the picture of the farm to the lower left. That building has long gone. Simon Heinrich Adolf and Katherine Louise had six children, all boys. All the children were born at Simon and Katherine's farm. 4.1 Simon Reineking Simon moved to Neilsville, Clark County, Wisconsin, and was a land agent. 4.2 Frederick C. Reineking Frederick moved to Appleton, Wisconsin (about 60 miles or 100 km north of the Town of Herman) and worked in the dairy business. Frederick and Ursula had no children. 4.3 Heinrich Reineking Heinrich was a farmer in the Town of Herman. This family line continues. 4.4 August Reineking August worked on his father's, Simon's, farm and took over the farm when Simon died. August continued to work the farm as a dairy business until he died. August also was a cheese maker, notably processing 500 to 600 pounds of milk a day. This family line continues. 4.5 Conrad Reineking from a book entitled, "Portrait and Biographical Record of Sheboygan County, Wisconsin", Excelsior Publishing Co., 1894......... In 1887, Conrad entered into a business partnership called Reineking And Greibe in the village of Franklin about 3 miles (5 km) from the farm where he ws born. The nature of their business was groceries and food. Conrad also served as a Postmaster in Franklin and in 1891 purchased 110 acres in the Town of Herman to farm. This family line continues. 4.6 Dr. John Reineking John and Ina had no children. John was a medical doctor and practiced medicine in the city of Hortonville most of his life. Hortonville is about 60 miles, or 100 km, from the Town of Herman. References
