Simon Arpke is listed as 55 years old in the 1880 census. He listed his birthplace as Lippe-Detmold, and he was a farmer in the Town of Herman. 

Simon married Friedericke Wilhelmine Christine Martensmeier April 14 1850.

Their children are listed under Friedericke Wilhelmine Christine Martensmeier.
