Summary Wilhelm was born June 14 1828, Langenholzhausen, Lippe-Detmold. He married Dorothea Sophia Hacker from Mecklenburg, Germany in January 18 1852 in Wisconsin. He died October 30 1905 and was buried in Immanuel Church Cemetery. Frederick went by his middle name, Wilhelm, and by the English equivalent, William. Frederick worked on his father's farm until age 23. At that point he worked in Manitowoc County for two years and took his wage as a yoke of oxen and a wagon. Then he bought an 80 acre parcel of land, built a house and barn. He continued to add to his land and farm the rest of his life.
