Frederick Karl Wehrmann was born July 25 1814 in Tevenhausen, Lippe-Detmold. He was christened September 25 1814 at the Langenholzhausen church. The Langenholzhausen church was said to be about 2 miles (~3.5 km) from their home in Tevenhausen. Frederick Karl traveled as a single man with his sister, Katherine Louise, in 1847 to Wisconsin. They are listed as entry #17 in the list of the original Lipper Settlers to the Town of Herman. Frederick Karl married Sophia Louisa Suelwald in 1850 in the Town of Herman. Sophia Louisa Suelwald was born on March 5 1814 in Hohenhausen. It is not known when she came to the Town of Herman. Her parents were Hans Heinrich Suelwold and Louise Dekker. Hans Heinrich Suelwold was born in Hohenhausen, Lippe-Detmold. Children:
1.1 Frederick Karl Wehrmann Jr. Frederick Karl Wehrmann attended the Mission Haus Seminary in the Town of Herman. He died of congestive heart failure while attending the Mission Haus. He was said to have left behind a sweetheart named Sophia Luhman. She is believed to be Caroline Sophia Luhman who later married William Steffen in 1876. 1.2 Simon Heinrich Wehrmann In 1879, Simon Heinrich and Wilhelmine Fredericke bought land in Outagamie County Wisconsin. They had 12 children which were raised there. They sold the farm in 1920 and moved to Appleton, Wisconsin. Later, they moved to Iowa. 1.3 Heinrich Karl Wehrmann Heinrich Karl was a farmer and a blacksmith. He took over his parents farm in the Town of Herman in 1879. Heinrich Karl and Alvine had five children whose descendents are still in the Sheboygan County area of Wisconsin.
