Adolf Arpke is listed with his family as being among the original Lipper Settlers.

Adolf Arpke is listed as 46 years old in the 1880 census. Interestingly, he listed his birthplace as Prussia rather than Lippe-Detmold. He was a farmer in the Town of Herman.

Adolf's wife is Caroline Arpke. Caroline's family name before marriage is not known. Caroline's age is listed as 42 which places her birth year as 1837 or 1838.
