This page is updated often, so check back.

I have encountered several marriages between the families of the original Lippers. Since I am using several disparate sources, there may well be discrepancies in these records in these web pages even though I have done my best to eliminate them. Please feel free to email at the address on the bottom of this page with any additions or corrections that seem appropriate.

Most of my mother's family were descended from "Lippers" who immigrated from Lippe-Detmold, Germany, and who were the first settlers in an area in northern Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, US. I was fortunate in that I spent many weekends and summers at my grandparent's farm which was in the family since the original group of Lippers first settled the land in 1847. As time moves on, the farm was sold out of the family in 1970, but somehow, the presence of those early Lippers is still with me today.

I embarked on, what turns out to be, a fascinating journey to try to discover who these early Lippers were.
